To bootstrap its way toward a connection, the widy could use Python to periodically check for wireless connections, find any known wireless networks, connect, send data, disappear. Like, simulated pen test.
Widy can also bootstrap its own connection, under the right circumstances. The Widy can be set to look for open or known wireless networks, connect to them periodically to send data, then disappear. (Pen test applications.)

Widy Tricks

This page contains various ideas for how to use the Widy as an aircraft carrier.

This is the "tricks" page - things you can do with the Widy.

The toolbox page covers specific tools you can install on the Widy: Widy/Toolbox

Widy as an Access Point

Instructions on setting up the Widy as a wifi access point. This will create a private network, where clients connect to the Widy device and are assigned an IP address.

Widy as a Wired-Wireless Bridge

You can use the Widy to bridge a wired and wireless connection. (There are several ways to do this, actually.)

Widy Bootstrap

Widy can also bootstrap its own connection, under the right circumstances. The Widy can be set to look for open or known wireless networks, connect to them periodically to send data, then disappear. (Pen test applications.)
