  • Rinse chicken and pat dry
  • Arrange pieces skin side down on broiler tray
  • Brush exposed side with butter/oil, sprinkle with salt/peppr
  • Place pan 7-8 inches beneath broiler
  • Broil chicken parts 12-15 min
  • 2 minutes before chicken is done, brush both sides with 3/4 cup of teryaki sauce
  • Return to broiler skin side up, broil until skin lightly charred
  • If parts threaten to burn, move pan further from heating element
  • Remove broiled pieces from platter
  • Skim fat off pan juices with spoon
  • Pour juices over chicken pieces
